Forward My spiritual journey is ever forward, ever upward. ometimes it feels as if we have made no progress in life. We overcome some challenge, but a year or ten later face a similar challenge. Our day-to-day lives go on, seemingly unchanged by what we think we see in our spiritual development. It is possible that we have stalled in our spiritual journey. But it is also possible that we have spiraled upward to face the same situation at a higher level. Do we now face that same situation with more grace? Are we calmer? Are we now an example to others of how to face such situations? Are we teaching spiritual lessons to those around us instead of learning them? Facing a situation again does not preclude progress. I Kings 6:8, “The door of the middle chamber was on the south side of the house; and it went up with winding stairs into the middle chamber, and out of the middle into the third.” 1/12/2019 | |
