God Will Sustain

I am sustained by the Lord; all weariness is washed away.

ship on the ocean does not tire of floating. It is sustained by its buoyancy relative to the water. It does not struggle to float on a calm sea. It just floats.

So it is also with us. We do not need to struggle. God is a sea of energy upon which we can float, sustained by this mighty source and allowing ourselves to channel that energy rather than trying to generate our own.

We are not dynamos, but creative tools that run on God’s electricity. We do not need to generate our own power, but simply plug into what awaits us through the one power and one presence that is God. We are sustained; weariness is washed away.

Isaiah 40:30-31, “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall helplessly stumble; But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall grow wings as a dove; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.”
