Innovate

I am open to new things, to new ideas, to better ways to live. The spirit of the Lord moves within me and illumines my way. I pay attention, and I act.

nspiration is mostly about paying attention and acting on ideas. Decades ago the author was told by an older gent about a new innovation, “I thought of that idea thirty years ago, and I did nothing with it.” He had had a great idea; he had even paid attention to it; but then he had let it languish.

Ideas come to us all the time. Do we let them pass unnoticed through our rich minds? Do we let them languish without action, allowing them find their way to another mind, another channel of God, who will act? Inspirations come to enrich our lives. It is up to us to both notice them and act. Will you pursue inspirations and innovations?

Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the Lord shall rise upon you.”
