Commitment

My life and work are dedicated and committed to a greater whole.

t is easy to get caught up in our day-to-day and moment-by-moment affairs and forget to see that there is a larger picture in our lives. We check items off our list to get us to some goal or another, but most people find if that goal is focused on the self, achieving it brings no lasting pleasure. There will always have to be another, larger goal to pursue.

The happiest people are those who are doing things for others. Cooking a meal for a family. Being an employer who provides jobs for others. Creating works of art or writing for others to enjoy. Committing our work to others and to a greater whole gives us happiness and surer direction.

Proverbs 16:3, “Commit your works to the Lord, and he will establish your thoughts.”
