Secure in God

I am secure and have nothing to fear, for God is with me always.

here are times when life’s events shake us to our cores. There may not be a literal earthquake or volcano erupting near us, but emotionally an event may seem equally as devastating. Whether it is a job loss or change, moving, retiring, or the loss of a friend, even the planned for and expected can shake us more than we expect, hit us with a sense of loss, perhaps bring on a feeling of insecurity as our foundations and identities shift beneath us.

When this happens, it is time for us to reconnect with our true foundation, our direct connection with God. It is time to sit in the silence and know the peace within that stills the chaos without.

Psalm 46:2, “Thou hast been with us always; therefore will we not fear when the earth quakes and mountains are shaken into the heart of the sea…”
