Helping Others

I am a channel of God’s good for those around me.

e may feel isolated from others. We may feel we do not owe anyone anything. We may feel we have nothing to give. Community is not built through fear or lack. Wealth is not built by a person who does not interact. It is through reaching out that we make things better for all.

We do not need money to give to those around us. Sometimes a pair of vigilant eyes is enough, if that is a need in the neighborhood. We can volunteer to help others in yard work, caring for children, moving house, or visiting the elderly. Showing that we are thinking of others builds connections and may lead to new or better ideas for the entire world.

Philippians 2:4, “Let no one be mindful only of his own things, but let everyone be mindful of the things of his neighbor also.”
