Believe

I drink from the spring of Spirit and am renewed.

piritual understanding does not come through blind faith, but through knowing. The disciple Thomas, who represents the faculty of spiritual understanding, did not accept that Jesus had returned at the word of others. He demanded to experience his presence before he would believe. But when Jesus appeared, he knew the Truth immediately.

So it is with us. Do we believe what we have been told or what we have read? Or do we need demonstrations that what we have heard is real? That what we have heard is the Truth? That what we have heard works in our lives? Let us demonstrate through producing the fruits of our beliefs. Let us partake of Spirit and no longer hunger or thirst.

St. John 6:35, “Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall never hunger; and he who believes in me shall never thirst.”
