Gift Giving I give freely with no expectation of return. I receive joyfully and gratefully. hen we give, let us give freely. Let us expect nothing in return, not even a thank you. When we attach strings to our gifts, it is no longer about giving, but about control. It becomes an exchange that we demand, even if it is onerous to the recipient. Instead, let our gifts be our free offerings of thanks to God and those around us. When we receive a gift freely given, let us receive it cheerfully and without protestation. Those who are giving are channels of God’s good to us. Let us not close the door on God by blocking His channels. Let us open doors by always being mindful of the Source of All Things and being grateful. Philippians 4:15-17, “…no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving, but you only. For even at Thessalonica you sent more than once to meet my needs. I do not say this because I want a gift, but because I want to see the fruits of the gospel increased to you.” 7/5/2016 | |
