Connected

The Christ is at the root of us all. We are one, connected through the Spirit of God within us.

e may have times when we contend with others, when misunderstandings occur. Perhaps a loved one is being willful in pursuing a perilous path. Perhaps it is we who are doggedly on a crusade which has upset others. It may be a situation at work with a coworker or manager. Perhaps we have just met someone and already come to words on a delicate topic.

We can take a step back, perhaps take a few deep breaths, and affirm that the Christ is at the root of us all. We can affirm that we are connected through God, as the fingers of a hand are connected. We can know God is present and go forward in that knowledge in peace.

Romans 12:5, “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”
