In God’s Time

It is time for the Lord to act.

n Greek, there are two words for time. Chronos means passing time, the time that we measure. Kairos means the right or opportune moment, a time between the measured times when it is time to act, “the appointed time in the purpose of God.”

As we live our lives we need to know that it is always the right time, the Divine Time, in which God can act. God does not need time; we need connection. We need to take the time to seek God within us and time to listen to the Lord of our being, not telling God of everything we want or about that other person, but listening and waiting to find the right time, the kairos.

Mark 1:14-15, “But after John was delivered up, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, Saying, ‘The time has come to an end, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.’”
