Listen

I am listening.

enerally speaking, we each have two ears and one mouth, which has long been taken as evidence we should listen at least twice as much as we speak. Thus it should also be in our times of prayer and meditation. We should be listening for God’s responses to our prayers at least twice as long as we spend asking, thanking, and otherwise sharing with the Lord of our being what our situation might be.

If we do not listen, we will miss ideas and inspirations that might otherwise come through. It is in the Silence as we let thoughts come and go and listen for new alternatives and solutions that we gain the most. Let us be open to listening.

Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you know not.”
