Intention

I do more than intend; I do, and I consider the consequences.

ntentions are neither actions nor results. There is an old saying, “The road to Hell is paved with good intentions.” As God showed in the story of Joseph, He can take bad intentions and turn them into good results. Intentions matter little. Actions and consequences matter.

If we have an intention to obtain certain results, it will not matter if we do nothing or if we do something that will not lead to the desired result. We must act, but hasty and unconsidered actions are often worse than doing nothing.

Let us have good intentions, and give them to God in prayer as we also seek guidance in thinking through and taking the right actions to achieve the intended results.

Matthew 7:12, “Whatever you wish men to do for you, do likewise also for them; for this is the law and the prophets.”
